Experience conducting research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals is required. Preference will be given to individuals who have served as official reviewers for AJOT and have a proven track record of editing and reviewing manuscripts. All qualified applicants will receive consideration; individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Submit an application by April 1, 2022.

New AJOT Series: Authors and Issues

  • What goes on behind the scenes in a research lab?
  • Can a reader ask questions directly to an author?
  • How can I find out more about a topic covered in one of AJOT’s "The Issue Is" articles?

A new AJOT series, Authors and Issues, answers those questions, and more!

Led by AJOT’s editor-in-chief, Stacey Reynolds, one article in each new issue will be selected for a deep dive into the content with the authors and invited guests via Zoom. The Zoom recordings will then be posted to CommunOT for viewing and asynchronous discussion. Authors and guests will moderate the online discussion and answer questions for 1 week.

Upcoming Topics

  • February 2022: The next Authors & Issues discussion will be available February 1, 2022. This session will feature authors Adam Kinney, Matt Malcolm, and James Graham discussing their article "Activities of Daily Living Performance and Acute Care Occupational Therapy Utilization: Moderating Factors," published in the January/February special issue on Health Services Research. Participants will discuss how factors such as sociodemographic characteristics and insurance type can moderate the effects of treatment and how health services research can impact policy and shape how occupational therapy practitioners deliver services.

Additional information will be posted here closer to the time of discussion.
