The authors of the March/April 2020 editorial “Not Just Mortality and Morbidity but Also Function: Opportunities and Challenges for Occupational Therapy in the World Health Organization’s Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative” (Richards & Vallee, 2020) have received reader feedback that it would be more appropriate to use the term functioning rather than function in the title and in the text. According to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (WHO, 2001), function is the term reserved for the perspective of the body. The authors completely agree with this perspective and acknowledge that functioning should be used throughout the text.
