The findings from this research study explore holistic, complex, and intersectional influences of identity, sexual orientation, gender, and context on the performance and participation in occupations for college students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ). Preliminary results justify the role of OT in promoting self-advocacy, maximizing health and well-being, and minimizing occupational alienation and imbalance for students who identify as LGBTQ.
