Readability and Quality of Patient Education Materials Targeted Toward Vulnerable Populations

Vulnerable populations are at risk for low health literacy and are more susceptible to poor health outcomes. Findings indicate that occupational therapy patient education materials aimed at these populations were difficult to read and understand. The profession should lead efforts to provide quality education materials.
