Abstract
According to the finger positions and the contact areas, the static prehensile patterns of normal hands were classified into 14 patterns under 4 categories. The patterns that 7 subjects used for holding each of 98 objects were confirmed under these new classifications. The findings could be of reference value for the therapist interested in the evaluation and the re-education of disabled hands.
